It sounds like your browser is not correctly registered as the default application for opening .url files. In your browser, select Tools > Internet Options > Programs. Click on the 'Make Default' button and it should reset the browser to defaults.
Now, try launching Security Monitor Pro and you should be able to click on any support or other links.
Yes, you can use the external drive as storage.
Launch Security Monitor Pro, click Tools > Application Settings. Under the Media File Options click Browse and select the drive you would like to save recordings on.
Security Monitor Pro can send through most mail services, you will need the correct SMTP settings.
The outgoing SMTP server settings for sending mail using Windows Live Hotmail are:

("me@hotmail.com" or "me@live.com" for instance)

You can change the transfer mode manually. Click File > Settings > Transfer Mode. Change the mode from Auto to Ascii or Binary. More details about setting the transfer mode is available here:
https://www.deskshare.com/help/afm/TransferModeSettings.aspx

My Screen Recorder saves recordings to the My Recordings folder inside your My Documents folder.
Once you have located your recording, you can send it as an attachment using your regular email software. I recommend using the default WMV format for your recordings or if you are using My Screen Recorder Pro, use the MP4 format.
WebCam Monitor will record audio from your webcam unless the audio is disabled.
Remote Desktop disables audio in the default configuration. Start Remote Desktop and click the Options pull down in the bottom left of the connection screen. Click on the Local Resources tab and click on 'Settings for Remote Audio'. Change the remote audio to play on remote computer. You should now be able to capture audio.
There are several alternative to Remote Desktop such as TeamViewer, VNC, or LogMeIn that do not interfere with audio.
Security Monitor Pro can remove old recordings based on a number of days, or when there is below a certain amount of space left on your hard drive.
You can set the deletion from the General Settings. Please see this page for an illustration - https://www.deskshare.com/help/smp/general-settings.aspx

Auto FTP Manager will transfer all files, folders, and sub-folders by default. You may have a need for certain files to be uploaded to a folder outside the normal tree structure.
You can create a profile for specific files to be sent to a remote FTP folder. Create a second or third, or more, automated transfer profile that each specify the correct folder for transfer. Auto FTP Manager does not limit the number of automated transfer profiles you can create.
Yes, we can add support for your TrendNet IP302 camera.
Please fill out the camera support form on this page:
https://www.deskshare.com/camera-request.aspx
There is a method to enter all your cameras in Security Monitor Pro and view 32 of them at a time. Enter the first set of 32 cameras, and save the camera profiles as a backup. Enter the second set of cameras and create a new backup. Do the same for the 3rd set of cameras. When you want to view the first set, simply restore the backup and you can preview or record from that set. Security Monitor Pro supports a maximum of 32 cameras at a time.
You may not have been reviewing and the removing the Auto FTP Manager log files files for a very long time.
If you do not need to view the logs, turn off logging from File > Settings Transfer Log. Next, backup the profiles from File > Backup Profiles, then restore them from File > Restore Profiles. This will reduce the size of the Profile.fdb quickly.
The recording file format in Security Monitor Pro was changed from Window Media to MPEG4 in version 5.2
Most PC's will already have all necessary codecs to play back the MP4 recordings. If your PC is not able to play back the files, installing the codec pack from this location will fix the issue:
https://www.deskshare.com/download/codecpack.exe
Yes, Auto FTP Manager can run the scheduled transfers as a service.
When you create the schedule, assign a username and password to run the schedule. Please see this page for an illustration:
https://www.deskshare.com/help/afm/ScheduledProfiles.aspx
Once the username and password is assigned, the schedule will execute even when Windows is logged off.

Using the correct recording screen resolution for Youtube will produce video that does not appear stretched and does not have any black bars at the top or bottom.
There are two ways to set the correct resolution. My Screen Recorder allows you to change the screen resolution before beginning recording or to record just a specific region of the screen. You can change the resolution before recording from the Settings.
To record just a portion of the screen, use custom region screen recording.
These are the display dimensions for Youtube:
720p: 1280x720
480p: 854x480
360p: 640x360
240p: 426x240
Text Speaker allows pauses of different lengths within your text.
The default timing after a comma is a half second while after a period it is 1 second. Text Speaker allows you to enter a customized pause in your text. Put the cursor at the position where you want to add pause of expected length. Click Edit >> Insert Pause. Use one of the predefined pauses from .25 seconds to 5 seconds or click on user defined and enter the amount of time you would like.
You can easily set the speed of the voice at the beginning of the document. To have passages that play at different speeds, you can place them into separate documents, each with it's own speed.
Auto FTP Manager is able to select files based on date.
You can select files that have been modified today using the file filters. Please see this page for details:
https://www.deskshare.com/help/afm/Filters.aspx
